![]() ![]() Most of them I was expecting as I have had panels off and seats removed during the stereo work - These are the codes that came up:ĭ7 fuel tank sensor 2 (without fuel pump) I also ran the carsoft OBD2 software in hope that it would provide some useful codes. The only relevant connectors I can see in there is the heater core temp sensor directly behind the head unit - and this is plugged in fine, I have checked this. I have looked in the Bentley manual (which is as useless as sh!t). I think that maybe I have dislodged a cable somewhere in the dash while working on the stereo, but I have no idea what or where. So I think that the cabin air temperature sensor is okay, as it still detects that the air blowing in is still cold, and therefore never winds up the blower speed. This doesn't happen, as the air never blows hot. Normally once the car is warmed up, the blower would then speed up gradually to fill the cabin with the hot air to reach the set temperature. When I select 'Auto' on the HVAC, and set the temperature to 32 degrees Celsius (89 Fahrenheit), which is the maximum - the blower motor winds down to the lowest setting - like it normally does until the car is warmed up and blowing hot air. Everything bled out correctly and the new coolant went in without problem. I did a coolant flush when I bought the car (8 or so months ago), and I never had any issues before or after that. I have checked the coolant twice now, and it is still at 'max' level when cold. The temperature gauge on the cluster shows normal readings after the few minutes that the car has warmed up - there seems to be nothing abnormal there. From what I've researched, I think this means its not the final stage resistor playing up. I can turn the speed up or down and the blower responds accordingly. ![]() The A/C works fine as far as I can tell (haven't been using it lately as its Winter here) - the Fan/blower works fine - I have complete control over fan speed still, and that has not been acting up. Even after the complete 30minute drive to work, the heater was still blowing cold air. I only noticed it a few days ago when the heater didn't warm up after the first few minutes of my drive to work. Recently in the last week, the heater has stopped blowing hot air. I've been installing a new stereo from scratch, so the dash has been pulled apart several times (theres been no glove box for the last month), and I've been in and out behind the head unit and glove box area. Never had any electrical problems or HVAC problems. I have had the car about about 9 months now. My car is a 2001 330Ci - and it's right hand drive. Thanks for reading - I hope I can get some help because this has been bugging me over the last week. ![]()
